Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZBED8 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ZBED8 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher ZBED8 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZBED8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.

HNSC, LSCC, and UCEC are the cancer types where ZBED8 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
