Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZBED2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ZBED2 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher ZBED2 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZBED2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LSCC are the cancer types where ZBED2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
