Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, XRN2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated XRN2 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 3 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher XRN2 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated XRN2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and READ show a favorable association.

MESO, KIRC, and LGG are the cancer types where XRN2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
