Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, XRCC6 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated XRCC6 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher XRCC6 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated XRCC6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and PDAC show a favorable association.
HNSC, COAD, and PDAC are the cancer types where XRCC6 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
