Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, XRCC4 RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated XRCC4 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher XRCC4 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated XRCC4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and SKCM show a favorable association.
KIRC, UVM, and OV are the cancer types where XRCC4 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
