Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, XIRP1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of XIRP1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where XIRP1 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types XIRP1 is over-expressed in tumor.
LUAD, STAD, and LIHC are the cancer types where XIRP1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
