Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, XBP1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated XBP1 data layer compared with 1 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher XBP1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated XBP1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

MESO and COAD are the cancer types where XBP1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
