Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, WNT3A RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of WNT3A’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where WNT3A RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types WNT3A is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUAD and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LUAD, KIRC, and LUSC are the cancer types where WNT3A tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
