Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, WLS Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated WLS data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher WLS Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated WLS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
ACC and UCEC are the cancer types where WLS Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
