Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, WHAMM Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated WHAMM data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher WHAMM Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated WHAMM expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUAD, HNSC, and CHOL are the cancer types where WHAMM Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
