Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, WFDC9 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated WFDC9 data layer compared with 12 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher WFDC9 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated WFDC9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC are the cancer types where WFDC9 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
