Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, WFDC12 RNA is linked to patient survival in 20 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated WFDC12 data layer compared with 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher WFDC12 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated WFDC12 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and KIRP show a favorable association.
OV, KIRC, and UCS are the cancer types where WFDC12 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
