Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, WFDC1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated WFDC1 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher WFDC1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated WFDC1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LSCC are the cancer types where WFDC1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
