Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, WDR5 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated WDR5 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher WDR5 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated WDR5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and CCRCC show a favorable association.
HNSC, LSCC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where WDR5 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
