Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VWA1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VWA1 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher VWA1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VWA1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SCLC show a favorable association.
SKCM, BLCA, and SCLC are the cancer types where VWA1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
