Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VTN Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VTN data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher VTN Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VTN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, BRCA, and LUSC are the cancer types where VTN Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
