Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VTCN1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VTCN1 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher VTCN1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VTCN1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
STAD, LUSC, and PRAD are the cancer types where VTCN1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
