Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VSTM2A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VSTM2A data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher VSTM2A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VSTM2A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, GBM, and READ are the cancer types where VSTM2A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
