Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VSIG2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VSIG2 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher VSIG2 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VSIG2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC show a favorable association.
LUAD, PDAC, and LSCC are the cancer types where VSIG2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
