VRTN

mutation — cross-omics
Cross-omicsMUTATION → RNACell-linePairwise association · TCGA cohorts

Across TCGA cell cohorts, VRTN mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 112 significant associations in total. LARGE_INTESTINE shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible VRTN-associated genes across cancer lineages are BHLHE23, MYL7, and UCMA. Each is linked with VRTN in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both VRTN-to-partner and partner-to-VRTN results are reported.

Each partner links to its own Q-omics profile. The box plot shows the strongest example, BHLHE23 grouped by VRTN-low versus VRTN-high in UPPER_AERODIGESTIVE_TRACT.

mutation associated genes by consensus

Ranked by combined sampling and lineage consensus. X-score (VRTN→partner) and Y-score (partner→VRTN) are standardized regression coefficients; both directions are reported because the association is undirected. p-values are from the association test.
