Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VPS37A RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated VPS37A data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher VPS37A RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VPS37A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and LAML show a favorable association.

MESO, HNSC, and KICH are the cancer types where VPS37A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
