Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VPS26A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VPS26A data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher VPS26A mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VPS26A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and HNSC show a favorable association.
LUAD, PDAC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where VPS26A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
