Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VN1R67P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of VN1R67P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where VN1R67P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types VN1R67P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BLCA and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BLCA, KIRC, and LUSC are the cancer types where VN1R67P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
