Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VMAC Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VMAC data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher VMAC Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VMAC expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM are the cancer types where VMAC Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
