Across TCGA patient cohorts, VMAC mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 20 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible VMAC-associated genes across cancer lineages are RNU4-82P, KRTAP20-3, and TRAJ54. Each is linked with VMAC in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both VMAC-to-partner and partner-to-VMAC results are reported.
