Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VGF Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VGF data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in sarcoma (SARC), where higher VGF Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VGF expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SARC, LIHC, and LUSC are the cancer types where VGF Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
