Across TCGA patient cohorts, VGF protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 8,050 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible VGF-associated genes across cancer lineages are CHGA, SCG3, and RUNDC3A. Each is linked with VGF in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both VGF-to-partner and partner-to-VGF results are reported.
