Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VENTX RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of VENTX’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where VENTX RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types VENTX is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, KIRC, and THCA are the cancer types where VENTX tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
