Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VDAC2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VDAC2 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher VDAC2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VDAC2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, SKCM, and COAD are the cancer types where VDAC2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
