Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VDAC1P1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VDAC1P1 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lymphoid neoplasm diffuse large b-cell lymphoma (DLBC), where higher VDAC1P1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VDAC1P1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD show a favorable association.
DLBC, BLCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where VDAC1P1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
