Across TCGA cell cohorts, VDAC1 RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 3,749 significant associations in total. UPPER_AERODIGESTIVE_TRACT shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible VDAC1-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Dihydrofolate metabolic process, Positive regulation of rRNA processing, and Positive regulation of signal transduction by p53 class mediator. Each is linked with VDAC1 in more than 13 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both VDAC1-to-partner and partner-to-VDAC1 results are reported.
