Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VCPKMT mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VCPKMT data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher VCPKMT mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VCPKMT expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and PDAC show a favorable association.

LUAD, LSCC, and HNSC are the cancer types where VCPKMT mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
