Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VCL Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VCL data layer compared with 31 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher VCL Mutation is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VCL expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, LIHC, and LUAD are the cancer types where VCL Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
