Across TCGA patient cohorts, VAX2 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 1,169 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible VAX2-associated genes across cancer lineages are CYTH4, HMOX1, and NCF4. Each is linked with VAX2 in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both VAX2-to-partner and partner-to-VAX2 results are reported.
