Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VAX1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated VAX1 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher VAX1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VAX1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and READ show a favorable association.

UVM, LUAD, and ACC are the cancer types where VAX1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
