Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VANGL2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VANGL2 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher VANGL2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VANGL2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and CESC show a favorable association.

LUSC, DLBC, and HNSC are the cancer types where VANGL2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
