Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VAC14 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VAC14 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher VAC14 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VAC14 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC show a favorable association.
COAD, PDAC, and UCEC are the cancer types where VAC14 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
