Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VAC14-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 18 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated VAC14-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher VAC14-AS1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VAC14-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and THCA show a favorable association.

KIRC, UVM, and MESO are the cancer types where VAC14-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
