Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, USP6NL RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of USP6NL’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where USP6NL RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types USP6NL is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and HNSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

COAD, BLCA, and KICH are the cancer types where USP6NL tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
