Across TCGA patient cohorts, USP22 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 11,688 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible USP22-associated genes across cancer lineages are BRIP1, B9D1, and TMEM97. Each is linked with USP22 in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both USP22-to-partner and partner-to-USP22 results are reported.
