Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, USP21 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated USP21 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher USP21 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated USP21 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and GBM show a favorable association.

KIRC, ACC, and LIHC are the cancer types where USP21 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
