Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, UQCRB RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 9 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of UQCRB’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where UQCRB RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types UQCRB is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BLCA and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BLCA, LIHC, and CHOL are the cancer types where UQCRB tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
