Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, UMPS RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated UMPS data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher UMPS RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated UMPS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUSC and KIRC show a favorable association.
ACC, LIHC, and MESO are the cancer types where UMPS RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
