Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, UGT2A3P7 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of UGT2A3P7’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where UGT2A3P7 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types UGT2A3P7 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and CHOL show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, CHOL, and LIHC are the cancer types where UGT2A3P7 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
