Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, UBE2M RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 16 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of UBE2M’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where UBE2M RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types UBE2M is over-expressed in tumor.
KIRC, HNSC, and COAD are the cancer types where UBE2M tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
