Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TUT7 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of TUT7’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where TUT7 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types TUT7 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, KIRC, and HNSC are the cancer types where TUT7 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
