Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TUBB8P10 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of TUBB8P10’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where TUBB8P10 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types TUBB8P10 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRP and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUSC, KIRP, and KIRC are the cancer types where TUBB8P10 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
