Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TUBB4B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TUBB4B data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher TUBB4B mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TUBB4B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and PDAC show a favorable association.
CCRCC, PDAC, and GBM are the cancer types where TUBB4B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
