Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TSTD1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TSTD1 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in brain lower grade glioma (LGG), where higher TSTD1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TSTD1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as MESO and LUAD show a favorable association.
LGG, MESO, and ESCA are the cancer types where TSTD1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
