Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TSPAN3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TSPAN3 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher TSPAN3 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TSPAN3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and UCEC show a favorable association.
STAD, BRCA, and BLCA are the cancer types where TSPAN3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
